CALL FOR PAPERS

eLearning practitioners from basic to higher education, non-formal training, and industry are 
invited to submit abstracts for the parallel session. These papers may be in the form of empirical 
research, case studies, or frameworks for decision-making regarding the application of information and 
communication technologies for education and training. eLearning enthusiasts are welcome to submit 
proposals for presentation on the following tracks but not limited to:

Instruction and Training:
  • Instructional Design and Development
  • Course Development
  • eLearning or web-based teaching strategies
  • Philosophies, models, concepts and tactics of eLearning
  • Online Tutoring and Support
  • eLearning Delivery Issues


Research and Approaches:
  • Assessment and Evaluation
  • eLearning Implementation
  • eLearning Management
  • eLearning Innovations and Technology
  • Organizational Strategy and  Management Issues


Extension and Linkages:
  • Local & International Linkages for eLearning
  • eLearning and Community and Extension Services
  • eLearning and Service-Learning

Submission of Abstracts

The abstract should be formatted according to the following guidelines:
  • maximum of 300 to 400 words excluding the title and name(s) and affiliation(s) of author(s)
  • MS Word (.doc) or Rich Text Format (.rtf) written in letter-sized template with 1” margin on all sides.
  • text in 11-point Arial, single-spaced, justified paragraph
  • title of the paper in boldfaced capital letters and centered alignment
  • name(s) of the author(s) centered with two-line space from the title, presenter’s name should be underlined
  • author(s)’ affiliation centered and one-line space from the name(s), if more than one author, use superscript to indicate affiliation

Email abstracts not later than 15 October 2012 at pelsconference2012@yahoo.com.ph. Indicate 
complete name, email address and contact number of the corresponding author. Authors of accepted 
papers will be notified not later than 30 October 2012.  

Only papers of authors who register by 15 November 2012 will be included in the program and proceedings.  The proceedings of PeLS National eLearning Conference  2012 will be published  electronically and qualified papers will be invited for publication at PeLS Online Journal (ISSN 2094-781x).

Final Paper and Presentation Materials

  1. Final paper for accepted abstracts should be in by 30 November 2012.
  2. The final paper should be at most 10 pages.  The format is left to the discretion of the presenter.  Font size should be 12, Times New Roman.
  3. The electronic presentation slides should be in by 30 November 2012  for inclusion in the conference proceedings.  There should be at most 20 slides for the 20 minute presentation.
  4. The Conference Paper Review Committee will award special prizes to the top 5 conference papers.  The Committee will evaluate submitted papers using the following criteria:  organization,  content, originality and contribution to eLearning practice.
  5. We will also award Early Bird Prizes to the first 5 papers submitted provided they are accepted for presentation.
